Alaska & A Brooch

I was in Alaska and My friend and I were dared to go kayaking. I really wanted to so I accepted said dare. The only problem was the river and a three foot wave that rose out of it were frozen. We tired to push our kayaks up to the top put all we did was push through the snow layer.

A friend in the neighborhood needed something. We were at a diner and she asked a lady to come help us. The black lady rose and slowly, ever slowly, tried to make her way toward us. 'Stop the attitude" I said.
Suddenly, the black lady was laying on a bench, clutching her heart. My friend demanded a doctor but no one could pay for one. My friend left then came back with a white nurse who helped the lady. The payment? My friends lighthouse brooch who EVERYONE knew she had searched to buy everywhere. It was her prized possession and yet she was willing to give it up for someone she barely knew and who didn't treat her nicely.
