Irish Fighting

a moment is the answer to all of lifes mysteries!

I dreamed I was trying to convince the Irish, both north and south, that America really was a good place to live and grow up. There weren't many that were convinced and they wanted to fight. One side more than another. One side wanted to believe more. I could see their faces, trying to decide, softening a little.
Did I dream this because of St. Patty's Day?

Dreamcatcher

I received a surprise in the mail from St. Joseph's Indian School in South Dakota: a dreamcatcher. On the back of the package is the legend of the dreamcatcher.I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but I will and I'll post it. Until then, enjoy the images I found for dreamcatchers and the Legend of the Dreamcatcher.

Native Americans of the Great Plains believe the air is filled with both good and bad dreams. Historically, dreamcatchers were hung in the tipi or lodge and on a baby's cradle board.
According to legend, the good dreams pass through the center hold to the sleeping person. the bad dreams are trapped in the web, where they perish in the light of dawn.

Inside where different things for a game we were playing: jacks, a ball and a poisonous snake. So Annette with her cute smile, played with the snake and got bit. Her index finger immediately started swelling up and turned purple. I told the other girls that I needed to take her to the hospital. James Marsden Blew Up My Yard

A group of people (secret service?) were all in my yard looking for something. I don't remember what now. They blew up my yard though. No plants survived. The saguaro with two arms raised to the sky was black as was the prickly pear. I laughed. I had to start over with plants. One of the men was James Marsden. He talked to me and smiled that beautiful smile of his.

He got a sliver in his thumb and asked me to take it out. He was trying to use his fingernail. I took him in the house; it was a disaster area, clothes, books and toys strewn everywhere. I tried to ignore it. I had him sit in a armchair with his thumb up and over the back. I stood behind him using tweezers to extract the big sliver. We bantered back and forth easily. He said something about getting a sliver because of my yard and I retorted, "Yeah, you blew up my yard."
"You just can't let it go, can ya."

The next scene we had fallen asleep in the arm chair, each draped over opposite arms. We had fallen asleep on each other's legs. I was huddled under a blanket. James woke and watched me sleep. There is a connection between us.

Next scene, he was showing me the office where he worked but it was really a home. He showed me a bunch of gadgets he'd made and showed me how to use them. He liked teaching me because I was a quick learner. We cleaned as he got gadgets out. Soon, it was time to go. He set the alarm system and I watched how he touched numbers on a computer touch screen. It didn't seem like he wanted to leave me and I didn't want to leave him.

Church & Worshippers

I was in church. It was a huge, open chapel, unadorned, full of people sitting in the pews. I think if I looked carefully, I would've seen many familiar faces.
Two girls came to sit by and they couldn't sit still. They wiggled and wiggle and started to argue loudly. I took each by their upper arms and dragged them to different pews. One I made sit by herself in a teeny pew, the other I made sit with a family.
The scene changed and instead of facing the way we were, we were turned sideways with a different speaker. The windows behind him were open and we laughed out loud as a strong wind came through them, blowing our hair around.

Old Flames & Mice

A respected. well-known speaker was coming to our little corner of the world. Karen was excited though she was trying not to show it. The speaker was a high school boyfriend from 20 years ago. He's single, she's single; what are the possibilities?
Karen helped set up the room. She was in high spirits, smiling all the time. She looked good in her outfit and her hair was done nicely. She talked to everyone, spreading her happiness.
Then she overheard someone talking about her. Then the speaker was there too and talking about her and how there was no way he would get together with her.
Karen's shoulders slumped. Her smile was gone. She told a few people she had to go but we all knew why she was leaving.
